Terms of Service

Last updated:

Welcome to CardetLLC (“CardetLLC”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms govern access to and use of our website and services, including refinishing & resurfacing of cabinets, countertops, tubs and tiles, interior painting, and professional cleaning in the Tampa Bay area. By requesting a quote, scheduling, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Scope of services

We provide on-site services including refinishing & resurfacing of cabinets, countertops, tubs and tiles, interior painting, and professional cleaning. The exact scope, materials, system, color selections, surface preparation, and exclusions will be listed in your written estimate or invoice (“Work Order”).

Any services not expressly listed in the Work Order (e.g., carpentry beyond minor patching, mold remediation, plumbing, electrical, structural repairs) are excluded unless added via a written Change Order.

2) Estimates, pricing & payment

  • Estimates: Quotes are based on information available at the time. Hidden conditions (e.g., moisture, delamination, failing substrates) may require price/time adjustments.
  • Deposits: A deposit may be required to secure scheduling and materials. Balance is typically due upon substantial completion unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments: We accept the methods specified in your Work Order (e.g., card, ACH, Zelle, check). Returned payments incur bank and processing fees.
  • Taxes & fees: Prices may exclude applicable sales tax and card/processing fees where allowed by law.
  • Non-payment: Past-due amounts may accrue late fees and collection costs as permitted by law.

3) Scheduling, site access & prep

  • Site access: Client provides safe access, electricity, water, ventilation, and clear work areas.
  • Surface prep: We prep per system requirements (cleaning, masking, sanding, patching). Pre-existing damage or contamination (e.g., silicone, oils) may affect adhesion and require additional work.
  • Environment: Temperature, humidity, and dust control must be suitable during application and cure.
  • Ventilation: Certain coatings require adequate ventilation. Client agrees to keep pets/people away from work zones per the crew’s instructions.

4) Changes & cancellations

  • Change Orders: Scope/material/date changes must be approved in writing and may affect price and timeline.
  • Cancellations: If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled start, reasonable mobilization/material costs may apply.
  • Delays: If the site is not ready (e.g., other trades, no access), wait-time or rescheduling fees may apply.

5) Systems, care & warranty

We follow manufacturer systems appropriate for the substrate. A written warranty is provided based on project scope and material system. Warranty is void if care instructions are not followed, if moisture is trapped (e.g., permanent suction-cup mats), or if abrasive/acidic cleaners are used.

  • Cure window: Light use only after the stated cure window (typically 4–48 hours depending on system). Avoid harsh chemicals until full cure.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft sponge and non-abrasive cleaners; avoid scouring pads and acids.
  • Mats: Do not use permanent suction-cup mats; use lift-and-dry mats to prevent moisture entrapment.
  • Non-slip: Optional non-slip area available for tubs for added safety.

Normal wear, impact damage, structural movement, leaks, or misuse are not covered. Color perception can vary due to lighting and device screens; minor texture/variance within industry standards is not a defect.

6) Limitations of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardetLLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.

7) Safety & compliance

We operate with reasonable safety practices and insurance as standard for our trade. If permits or HOA/landlord approvals are required, Client is responsible for obtaining them unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8) Photos & portfolio

With your permission, we may take before/after photos for documentation and quality control. With separate consent, we may use anonymized images for our portfolio and marketing. We will not display identifiable personal information without consent.

9) Website & intellectual property

The content on our website (text, graphics, logos, photos) is owned by or licensed to CardetLLC and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing.

10) Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or non-performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply chain disruptions, accidents, illness, government actions, or similar events.

11) Dispute resolution & governing law

  • Good-faith resolution: The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes informally.
  • Mediation: If unresolved, the parties agree to non-binding mediation in Hillsborough County, Florida.
  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Small-claims actions may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12) Privacy

For how we collect, use, and protect personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

13) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
